EXPERIENCE SPECIFIC TO AUTISTIC/DEVEOPMENTALLY DISABLED SUBJECTS AND MED-LEGAL EXPERIENCE:

  • Trained in the evaluation of Autistic Spectrum Disorders/neurodevelopmental disorders at what is now the Autism Spectrum Center at Boston Children’s Hospital: a Harvard Medical School teaching hospital and leading autism research center in the United States. In 2022 Boston Children’s Hospital was named the number one pediatric hospital in the country by U.S. News & World Report for the ninth consecutive year.
  • Extensive clinical and administrative experience in dealing with developmentally disabled and mental health patients with severe violence, sexual violence, and self-injurious behavior in inpatient, residential, forensic (juvenile detention, jail, prison and outpatient) settings. Provided oversight in the use of seclusion as well as physical and chemical restraints in juvenile and adult detention and psychiatric settings.
  • Certified in Clinical Psychopharmacology with expertise in complications of psychiatric medication use in the Autistic Spectrum Disorders.
  • Experienced in medical malpractice. Expert Reviewer for the California Medical Board including physician misconduct and standard of care issues.
  • Extensive experience in testifying and explaining complex science and statistical data to juries and the court in a jargon-free manner.
